The library is open every Monday when there is a showing.
The library list can be foundhere.
Please e-mail library requests and questions to library@calanimagealpha.com
The library is now based on hard drives. A club flash drive (4GB) can hold 13–20 episodes of anime.
The library is open to all Cal Animage Alpha members who meet the following criteria:
The library is open during Monday showings (from 7 PM to 10 PM). For all library needs, please contact the officer in charge of the library before the showing, after the showing, or during intermission.
Requests for materials not in the library listing should be submitted no later than the Tuesday before the showing. Note that there is still the possibility that what is requested might not be found in time.
Requests for materials already in the library should be submitted no later than the Friday before the showing.
If you are using your own flash drive, we will copy the anime you requested during the showing and will return them to you during intermission or at the end of showing. If you do not bring us your flash drive before the showing (at 7 PM), we cannot guarantee that your files will be ready by the end of the showing.
If you are using a club flash drive, please e-mail the request or tell the officer in charge of the library a week before. We will copy the episodes before the showing. Flash drives will be handed out before the showing or during intermission.
If you wish to borrow one of the club's flash drives, you must inform the librarian at the time of the request and pay a $10 deposit, which will be refunded to you upon return of the drive. You may not use the flash drive to store anything other than files from the library. This is to help prevent the spread of viruses and other malware.
If a club flash drive is lost, then the deposit will not be refunded and another $10 deposit will be required in order to borrow a flash drive from the club.
Curious about any of the anime in the library? These websites are great resources for finding out more:
For Windows computers, we recommend the Combined Community Codec Pack for general users and MPC-HC with LAV Filters and madVR for more advanced users. For Mac OS X computers, we recommend the VLC media player.
